GANESH PUJA: Lord Ganesh is considered as the supreme deity amongst all the Hindu Gods. He is the first to be worshipped during any auspicious events or pujas. He is known to be most fulfilling God and is the remover of all obstacles. “GANESH CHATURTHI” is the prescribed date to worship him.

BANGLA NOBOBORSHA: Every community based on their religious, farming and business need, created a framework or set-up date & time to maintain their yearly activities. Bengali community of Bangladesh & West Bengal and surrounded by states have their own calendar. Bengali year starts with the month of BAISHAKH (April) and ends with the month of CHOITRA (March). In Bangladesh, 14th day of April is the first day of BAISHAKH Month and it is called as “POHELA BAISHAKH”. Worship at Lord Ganesh and opening of “HALKHATA” (Books of financial transactions) is made on this day. It is also considered auspicious for many religious and social purposes.
